Hi,

I have been ear training for the past 9 months or so using strictly computer-based tools while at work. The tools I'm using are EarMaster and RelativePitch. At first, I made pretty quick progress with interval identification using these tools but seemed to hit a ceiling about 3 months back, and I just haven't gotten any better.

My lack of progress led me to this site, which seems to be exactly what I need. I started the Pitch & Harmony series and quickly realized that singing the notes using solfege method may be what I have been missing. I just started working on that a couple nights ago and can already see progress, so I'm really excited.

On that note, is anyone aware of a website that has either audio and/or video of someone singing solfege in the different scales? I was able to find Major and Natural Minor, but none of the others. Hearing someone sing the scales using solfege in addition to the scales being played on an instrument would be invaluable.

Also, can someone recommend the best ear training book for beginners (preferrably centered around the Solfege method)? There are so many books out there that I don't even know where to begin.

Thanks a ton for creating this site, this is exactly what I needed!!

Clay
