Tip: triad chords for guitar players

I have a tip for the other guitar players out there. I have been practicing triad chords with http://www.musictheory.net but all the chords I play are normal guitar chords using 4, 5 or 6 strings(notes). I found this article on the easy ear training website:

It explains how to play and practice triad chords on guitar. Things are starting to click for me now!

Guitar players are often immersed in the world of chords without really thinking about the basic triads underneath them. Spending a bit of time playing just simple triads can really help you pick apart chords by ear in future.

When I started learning spanish style I needed to think about arpeggios and triad chords instead of the normal chord shapes. And with ear training it was hard to make sense of it using normal guitar chords but these triad shapes are easier.
Trust me, it starts to make sense sooner than you might think! Try it :)
okay I have been trying it! (not the inversions just the normal triads) and I am getting the hang
Different strings different frets different sounds
The different sounds are inspiring I started writing a song just using triad chords! Do you write songs @sophmarq?
Thanks for posting the link about triads from http://www.easyeartraining.com! It is a really great and informative article. I especially like how you can listen along while having a look at the diagrams! I am very musically inclined but am also very visual so I think the way the page is set up is really cool! I also had a quick look at musictheory.net and that looks like it probably has lots of good resources to learn from also. Thanks for the information!
